Tarbet Village
Situated on the West shore of Loch Lomond this has been a popular tourist destination for many years. Queen Victoria described it as 'a small town' with 'splendid passes, richly wooded and the highest mountains rising behind'. Little has changed and today visitors can see what captivated those early travelers. It is just two miles from Arrochar, which sits at the top of Loch Long. Arrochar is surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountain peaks in Scotland a magnet for hill walkers of all skill levels. (http://www.loch-lomond.net/villages/tarbet/tarbet.html)

Luss village
On early records the village was known as Clachan Dubh, (the dark village) because of its mountain setting, giving two hours less sunlight in the evenings, particularly in the winter time(ref: http://www.loch-lomond.net/villages/luss/luss.html) For us, there is nth special besides beautiful..v arrive too early(21.07.2006 8am)...
